National Physical Laboratories (NPL)

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the UK's National Measurement Institute and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science and technology available to man.

Project Argento represents one of the outcomes of NPL research. The concept and adoption of Point of Care Testing (POCT) is well established, however, until now true portability in POCT combined with "laboratory analyser" sensitivity and specificity has not been possible. Argento combines the speed and ease of use of the well established POCT tests with the sensitivity and fully quantitative results obtained from the reference lab. With multiplexing and communication capabilities (WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS) Argento takes POCT testing to the next level.

NPL is looking for partners to collaborate with and influence the design and productisation of this powerful, patented, technology platform.
