With an ageing and growing population in the UK the annual number of new cancer cases is expected to continue to grow. So there is an ongoing need for innovative medical technology that assists the screening, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, as well as helping to restore quality of life post-surgery.
The Medical Innovation Forum brings together the expertise of clinicians, life scientists, engineers and industry to explore opportunities to collaborate in the research, development and commercialisation of medical and diagnostic devices.
A programme of roundtable discussion groups are being staged so as to bring together participants who share common interests in how new medical technologies can contribute towards the earlier detection and treatment of cancer cases.
